I’m currently feeling:
Nervous.
My thoughts creating this feeling :
I have to travel to London on my own and attend a meeting that I’ll be joining part way through, so not sure when would be an appropriate time. Then there are people there who trigger defensiveness in me and will no doubt try to blame me because not as many people as they wanted have signed up to the event next weekend. Then we’re ringing a quarter peal afterwards and I have not rung with most of these people before.
My desired feeling:
Safe.
Thoughts to practice to create my desired feeling:
I have a map and Googlemaps to find my way to the venue. Does it really matter if I join the meeting a bit too early, its no different to cohen I do it online. There are multiple reasons why people haven’t signed up to the event not all down to PR. I am probably are of the stronger ringers ringing in the quarter peal out its in a method I know well.
I’ll show up on purpose in my dress, body language and presentation by:
Dressed in strong colours get suitable for travel, sitting in a meeting for several hours and ringing in. I will participate constructively during the meeting and manage my thoughts if others try to shift the blame on to me.
I will show up for myself by:
Being engaged, thoughtful, considerate and responsive
I will show up for my extraordinary goal by:
Attending this meeting and ringing in a positive and agreeable mindset.
I will upgrade my surroundings by:
Looking around the hendon scenery as I journey to and from my destination.
Today I am:
mistress of my own future and have the capacity to shape it how I want to.
Today I am grateful for:
Technology. I have booked my train ticket on line in advance. I can take a laptop or tablet with me instead of large, heavy note pads etc. I can access maps on my phone so I won’t get lost in the city. I can communicate with my husband throughout the day so he knows I’m safe.
