Worthy

I’m currently feeling:
Pleased.

My thoughts creating this feeling :
Before we went away I’d sent a press release out for a plea for more rugers in time having for the Coronation of king Charles 111 next May. The Times had picked it up and I’d spoken at length to their journalist and suggested he got in touch with the Birmingham ringers. He obviously followed through and wrote an excellent piece that appeared on Saturday. Then the usual media circus kicked in. Once one outlet has gone live with it, they all want to jump on board. I then had several more emails anda phone call exchange from Radio 4’s PM program me wanting a live interview that afternoon. So, I gathered my thoughts around the message I wanted to get across then had the sound check at 4pm via Skype before the live interview at 5.20pm. I ended upon air for the sum total of 2 minutes but it was enough to make the point. I would usually have shied away from doing such stuff but have gained more confidence, and in the back of my mind I have my EG spurring me on.

My desired feeling:
Worthy.

Thoughts to practice to create my desired feeling:
there have been some nice comments on social media about the interview specifically. of course there was a couple of more negative comment, from someone who freely admitted they hadn’t heard it, and another who seems to think I can control the press and MAKE outlets print or follow up. I have politely asked them to email me detailed and specific suggestions rather than vaguely pass judgement on social media. However, others have commented in support of what I’d said. It’s nice to get support and praise and sometimes from unexpected quarters. I still find it difficult to accept sometimes but trying to acknowledge everyone’s nice comments.

I’ll show up on purpose in my dress, body language and presentation by:
It’s raining, thunderstormy weather today. We go ringing this morning via walking through the city centre, so I need to be comfortable and water proof. Jeans and jumper today, topped off with raincoat when we go out.

I will show up for myself by:
Getting back to routine after a few days away. Household cloves need doing and meal prep for the week ahead.

I will show up for my extraordinary goal by:
I have a couple of tasks scheduled for today and one from yesterday that wasn’t completed due to the interview side tracking me.

I will upgrade my surroundings by:
Clearing the croning piile and getting clothes set out for work tomorrow.

Today I am:
Making the most of the final day before going back to work. Allowing myself time to prepare gracefully, incorporate some self love and worthiness unto my day.

Today I am grateful for:
My sister. She is my biggest superfan and always posts positive stuff about my work on her social media pages. She lets all her ringing friends know, sends links out and makes no bones about bragging I’m her sister.
