Reassured

I’m currently feeling:
Anxious.

My thoughts creating this feeling :
First day back at work. Hoping everything I left in place before I went on leave has happened and been successful, otherwise we only have a week to get it sorted out. I need to produce Project Board papers today and be able to report that progress has been made. It cannot lose momentum or time because we cannot put the Go Live date back any further.

My desired feeling:
Reassured.

Thoughts to practice to create my desired feeling:
I have a call with my technical lead first thing, then I’ll catch up with the Operational team and my boss, who was been overseeing things in my absence.

I’ll show up on purpose in my dress, body language and presentation by:
I know the office will be cold first thing, and it’s Monday, so ringing tonight, so I am wearing a two tone jumper with black trousers. It’s not supposed to rain today so I’ll wear heels rather than boots. I will be objective when I catch up with the various team members and get their updates.

I will show up for myself by:
Not allowing myself to get overwhelmed or worked up about only being in the office for the next four days. Allow myself grace to accept whatever happens.

I will show up for my extraordinary goal by:
I will respond to some emails before going out this evening and scheduling whatever other tasks need completing.

I will upgrade my surroundings by:
Taking in the autumnal colours around the hospital site and enjoy a brisk lunchtime walk.

Today I am:
Mindful of others who are working hard to help achieve my project delivery.

Today I am grateful for:
Colleagues who have been looking after things in my absence.
