Assured

I’m currently feeling:
Rushed.

My thoughts creating this feeling :
Things didn’t go according to plan at work yesterday. The tests that should have gone straight through didn’t. The person who we needed to resolve it wasn’t available until later in the day meaning it took a while to force the test through but it came back with errors again. Then one of the supplier techs dropped a bombshell he’s never mentioned before meaning the system users are responsible for setting something up in the system after it’s gone live, so we can’t even test that yet. It means I only have today to try to resolve these issues, and determine who is going to keep things  moving next week when I’m on a course and my main technical lead is on annual leave. It only gives us a week to rerun the test, move to live, test live then go live.

My desired feeling:
Assured.

Thoughts to practice to create my desired feeling:
I need to make sure everyone knows what is expected of them and things move on successfully. I need to submit our documents to the Change Advisory Board for approval to go live. But I won’t be there to present next week so will need to prime someone else to be there.

I’ll show up on purpose in my dress, body language and presentation by:
Wearing black trousers and patterned blouse. Just going for basic jewellry today. Comfortable and functional. I will try to remain calm as we attempt the tests again and progress.

I will show up for myself by:
Not losing my temper if things don’t go well. Yesterday I did get very annoyed and let it show to colleagues.

I will show up for my extraordinary goal by:
Progress the setting up of TV crews for filming ringing.

I will upgrade my surroundings by:
Making sure I go for a walk at lunchtime. I didn’t get the chance yesterday and felt stiff by the end of the day.

Today I am:
Resigned to what will be will be.

Today I am grateful for:
Having a day off tomorrow to calm and relax. Allow time to read and catch up on SOSI work.
