Sisu

I’m currently feeling:
Thinkache.

My thoughts creating this feeling :
Mentally exhausted. I had a day of trying to resolve testing issues yesterday and even when I got home had to respond to some emails that required more than just a cursory answer. By the time I went to bed I felt a little brain dead. I’m glad I prepare food ahead of time and plan my clothes for the week ahead so that’s fewer things to have to make decisions about.

My desired feeling:
Sisu.

Thoughts to practice to create my desired feeling:
Determined in the face of adversity. Something came to light during testing for my project which requires manual intervention whilst an automated process is being investigated. The irritating thing is its only become apparent this late in proceedings and it could impact on pushing back clinical go live. I need to test an alternative process today but I have a course booked in all morning. I have a short window of opportunity first thing then not again until late afternoon. We need to make a decision on clinical go live by lunch time today.

I’ll show up on purpose in my dress, body language and presentation by:
Well below zero degrees out today so warmth required. Nary flecked trousers and white, slightly frilly blouse. Pearl necklace, bracelet and drop earrings. Thick socks and boots. The blouse and pearl combo is making my outfit feminine and in turn I am feeling more upright and alert. I don’t know how the two are connected, but it works.

I will show up for myself by:
Focussing on getting some testing done before my course on Ethical coaching and other meetings. I have an evening meeting that will require my full attention if I am to make positive moves towards my EG.

I will show up for my extraordinary goal by:
Participating fully and making sure I take notes from my evening meeting to be able to reference it in my nomination statenient for Deputy President.

I will upgrade my surroundings by:
Finding time during my day to go for a walk and keep my steps up for our walking challenge.

Today I am:
Learning.

Today I am grateful for:
An opportunity to learn about ethical coaching as part of my course and consider how to apply it when I’m coaching people.
