Stress free

I’m currently feeling:
Powerful.

My thoughts creating this feeling:
Yesterday was one of those days when everything came together. I powered through some testing of user guides that all worked perfectly. My interview with the Today Programme didn’t happen but I did end up giving I nterviews to local BBC Radio stations and two newspapers, and lined another one up for Sunday morning. They were short sharp and to the point. An interesting way to do them. Sit on an open Zoom call as each station logged on at their allotted time. A couple had difficulty connecting so ended up doing them over the phone, but all went well I think. Then the evening meeting went ok and I wasn’t required for much input so was able to do the two major tasks I had and more. I managed to clear out my inbox of detritus so only things that need doing or I’m waiting for responses to are left.

My desired feeling:
Stress free.

My thoughts creating this feeling:
After the flurry from yesterday, I’m hoping today will be much quieter. Either way, I’m going to lay off answering calls I don’t recognise the number for and not open my CC email during the day. Let the dust settle. C is travelling to Wales for a funeral and staying overnight which means I can eat what I want, do what I want and go to bed when I want. In reality, I’ll probably write a website brief, answer more emails and fall asleep on the sofa.

I’ll show up on purpose in my dress, body language and presentation by:
Well out of my normal comfort zone with a bright green trouser suit. Will wear proper shoes for the first time this year, rather than boots as the weather is warmer. Gibraltar bracelet long necklace and hanging leaf cearnings. Going to a colleague’s lunchtime retirement do, so I’m in charge of the presents and some of the food. I’m sure it will be a jolly occassion.

I will show up for myself by:
Seeing the power of getting things done and embodying that persona on a more regular basis.

I will show up for my extraordinary goal by:
Finally getting the website brief done and sent off.

I will upgrade my surroundings by:
Being with friends and colleagues at the retirement lunch, having a laugh and saying farewell to a much admired colleague.

Today I am:
Not answering the phone!

Today I am grateful for:
The variety of life. I get to do so many different things at work and as part of my main hobby. I get to dial it up or down according to what needs doig and when I need to back off.
