I’m currently feeling:
Relieved.

My thoughts creating this feeling:
Had a phone call from my GP as a follow up. He confirmed my BP was still too high so is doubling my medication dose and putting me on a repeat prescription. He wants another blood test and urine test in a couple of weeks just to make sure the medication is working and my kidneys aren’t leaking protein. He confirmed my cholesterol levels were high but could get better through diet and exercise rather than more medication. He said my hormone levels indicated I was post- menopausal but as I’m still having regular periods maybe I’m mid- menopause. Ironically, this month I’m late! As I’m not really suffering from symptoms he didn’t see the need he start HRT. I have the odd hot moment, maybe a bit more emotional at times but otherwise Ok. It was quite funny having this phone conversation on a packed train heading to London. The workshop in London went well and we discovered a lot that will be useful for future marketing and brandling. Then had a lovely chat over WhatsApp with my sister, the only one in the family that knows I’m now being medicated for high BP. We talked about her panic attacks too. I was the only one who knew about the extent of those at first. Glad she’s getting support through Talking Therapy for that.

My desired feeling:
Winner.

My thoughts creating this feeling:
Today is a bellringing competition we are hosting at the Cathedral. We’ll be heading off soon to make sure the catering team are all set up for bacon rolls, tea and cake. Get the bells up, sort the judges out and steward the teams and event. As well as ring ourselves at our allotted time. I’m sure it will all go smoothly. Fingers crossed for a home win. I’ve got another workgroup meeting this evening but will be able be report some excellent progress.

I’ll show up on purpose in my dress, body language and presentation by:
Fake leather trousers again, and blue, black and grey top. Weather turned a bit cooler recently so want to keep warm but without overheating when we ring. Going with the flow, trusting the process.

I will show up for myself by:
Being the hostest with the mostest! Welcoming about 100 ringers, looking after the catering team and making sure things run smoothly.

I will show up for my extraordinary goal by:
Chairing this evening’s meeting with enthusiasm for moving things forward.

I will upgrade my surroundings by:
Spending most of my day hanging around the Cathedral looking other everyone.

Today I am:
Turning over a new chapter as far as my health is concerned.

Today I am grateful for:
My GP, who is very gently spoken, not bad to look at and was very thorough at explaining what’s going on and what happens next.
