Motherly

I’m currently feeling:
Organised.

My thoughts creating this feeling:
Yesterday went very well. Everyone turned up when they were supposed to. Bacon butties were cooked, everyone was fed and watered. Bells were rung and we came second. All went pretty well. Home to write up a few reports, dinner, then Chair a workgroup meeting. Ultra efficient at sending out the updated Action Log, a couple of other attachments and a doodlepoll for our next meeting.

My desired feeling:
Motherly.

My thoughts creating this feeling:
R is coming home today for a few days for my birthday. Last time we saw her I didn’t really feel connected to her, she didn’t want to talk to me or be near me. I don’t know why. C has done the communication with her about getting here as there are train problems, so he’s going to have to pick her up from somewhere part way. I have another CC Exec and Workgroup Leads meeting all afternoon so I won’t be able to go with him. As she’ll be here for a few days I’m hoping that things will improve and we’ll reconnect at some level.

I’ll show up on purpose in my dress, body language and presentation by:
Jeans and jumper for ringing this morning. Basic jewellry so it doesn’t get in the way. Lots of sitting around this afternoon so need to be comfortable.

I will show up for myself by:
Being prepared and ready to welcomer home and take cues from her as to how she wants to connect.

I will show up for my extraordinary goal by:
Another radio interview early morning. CC Exec and WG Leads meeting looking at priorities and future strategy work and some of the marketing work we did on friday.

I will upgrade my surroundings by:
Making R’s room ready for her. Make her bed and tidy up where necessary.

Today I am:
Ready to connect.

Today I am grateful for:
R wanting to come home for a few days. She’s got leave to use up so it saves her sitting in her flat on her own. She’ll get fed and taken out places whereshe can photograph to her hearts content.
