I’m currently feeling:
Serene.
My thoughts creating this feeling:
Had a lovely, non rushed day yesterday. Visited our local RHS Garden and saw lots of signs of spring. Helped by being a lovely sunny day. Had a lovely light pasta dish for lunch which was incredibly filling. Didn’t really get a chance to look around the shop at the end as C had picked up a large bag of compost so headed straight to the tills to pay. I suppose it saved me spending money on things I didn’t really need. Got home and read and napped for the afternoon. C cooked dinner then we sat at watched TV, read or napped some more. No birthday cake. C and R only actually said happy birthday as we sat at the dinner table with wine. Any how, quite a pleasant day regardless.
Started reading Be Your Future Self Now and already so many things resonating with my Coaching Course around how people think about themselves and their world impacts on their view of the world and what happens to them in it. I could see myself using those type of conversations with coachees. At the moment I need to apply them to myself and my own world.
My desired feeling:
Fitter.
My thoughts creating this feeling:
I haven’t really had much chance to fully embrace a healthier eating habit yet. Sounds a bit of a cop out, but have been given lots of chocolates, biscuits and edible treats for Valentine’s Day and now my birthday. I’m trying to make better food choices where I can but there’s so much sweet, sugary stuff to finish off. R asked yesterday what I wanted for Easter, I told her no chocolate or sweets! I really do want to learn new eating habits to improve my cholesterol levels and BP. Recipes I’m giving C to cook each day this week are from a mediterranean cookbook and I’ve invested in a low cholesterol one as well. Learning more about it and trying to make appropriate choices.
Today we’re going out for a walk along the Shotley Peninsula near Ipswich, so I’m hoping to raise the heart rate gently, and feel exhilirated.
I’ll show up on purpose in my dress, body language and presentation by:
Blue jeans and white “cricket” jumper. Gibraltar bracelet, diamond stud earrings and birthstone necklace. Casual and practical for walking in but not too slovenly. Will wear proper walking boots and jacket I won’t get too hot in. Purposeful striding.
I will show up for myself by:
Getting out in the fresh air, walking and being energised.
I will show up for my extraordinary goal by:
Chairing a meeting this evening to make arrangements for filming a short film for use in promoting bellringing.
I will upgrade my surroundings by:
Walking around Shotley Peninsula. Never done that area before so will be nice to see whats there and find somewhere nice for lunch. Maybe even visit the farm shop nearby.
Today I am:
Wide awake.
Today I am grateful for:
Having this week off work to recharge, spend time with my favourite people, explore and enhance.
