I’m currently feeling:
Annoyed.
My thoughts creating this feeling:
Slightly annoyed. The Ring for the King campaign has been going great with lots of TV, radio and print interest. The team of people who volunteered, and are being paid, to administer enquiries are now complaining they can’t cope. There are several of them at it but they want me to stop promotion so they can have a rest. I’m afraid I really can’t feel sorry for them. When we did Ringing Remembers back in 2018 we had over 3500 enquiries, all dealt with by 2 people who were in Philadelphia working off a spreadsheet and not being paid. As far as I know this group have only dealt with a couple of hundred enquiries so far. If we don’t engage with the media when they ask we run the risk of alienating them and they won’t support us again in the future. I might be able to hold them off for a week on the grounds of finding somewhere different for filming but they won’t hold off indefinitely. I also don’t think we can afford to start being picky. We need thousands more ringers and does it really matter if they are slightly older than we’d like.
My desired feeling:
Entertained.
My thoughts creating this feeling:
Today we’re off to London to see Cirque du Soliel. It was something I’d spotted a while back that looked interesting and appealed to my elegant, feminine and wanting to experience things new persona. I’d managed to convince C to buy tickets as part of my birthday treat. The tickets were over £100 each! However, I am treating the day as one of adventure. The whole trip to London and walk around before the afternoon show and then dinner out somewhere. The only draw back is that it marks the last day with R as she’ll be heading straight back to Kingston from there.
I’ll show up on purpose in my dress, body language and presentation by:
Getting a bit more dressed up today. Burgundy woollen dress that comes to just above my knees. Black rights and knee high boots. Teardrop diamond earrings, a necklace we bought yesterday that has a gold hoop with different coloured stones and a gold cuff bracelet. Got lots of walking to do so need to have comfortable feet but wanted to be a bit more elegant for an afternoon at ashow at The Royal Albert Hall.
I will show up for myself by:
Being engaged with all the sites and sounds of the city. Should be pleasant enough to walk around Kensington Gardens and the vacinity of the Albert Hall then the show itself should be enthralling and something different.
I will show up for my extraordinary goal by:
Being part of my goal to experience other things of elegance and beauty I’m looking forward to practicing what I want to become.
I will upgrade my surroundings by:
The whole day will be upgrading my surroundings. Waking around beautiful parts of the city. A slow where we have extraordinary seats and an evening meal out. The whole experience is an upgrade.
Today I am:
Making the most of our last day with R. Experiencing beautiful places and entertainment.
Today I am grateful for:
The past week off work. R being home and part of our activities. The whole experience of today as it marks the last day of my birthday celebrations.
