Radioactive

I’m currently feeling:
Disappointed.

My thoughts creating this feeling:
I had thought I was hitting menopause and would see an end to monthly periods. I’ve always been regular as clockwork, to the day. In February I didn’t have one at all which gave me hope it would soon all be over. Then early March, one arrived. Earlier than my usual clockwork date. Ok, sometimes I guess it’s going to be more random as they start to petre out. We’re going away over night at the weekend and I was looking forward to a night out and maybe some hotel hanky panky. But no. Apparently I need to have another period in March to make up for the one I missed in February.

My desired feeling:
Radioactive.

My thoughts creating this feeling:
Not literally but active on the radio. We have an extra teaching session with our new learner today and BBC Radio Essex are coming along to do a live link. Our learner has agreed to be interviewed and I know C would rather not, so I’ll have to do all the taking and explaining. Someone from the Cathedral office is going to be there as well to take photos for the Cathedral social media.

I‘ll show up on purpose in my dress, body language and presentation by:
Standard ringing outfit of jeans and t-shirt. Gibraltar bracelet, birthstones necklace and diamond stud earrings. Basic, practical.

I will show up for myself by:
Slamming out another JWW. Think I must have done about 7 or 8 so far. Not bad. I can feel a bit of difference but I still can’t move as fast as him or bend as much. Also, I don’t have a lovely large open space to exercise in. I’m trying to do them in my lounge and conscious of not jumping around too much, otherwise it’ll sound like I’m coming through the floor. It’s been easier to do them because I’ve had extra days at home so it’ll be interesting to see how I manage to shoehorn them in when I’m back at work every day.

I will upgrade my surroundings by:
Nice, brisk walk into down later for the teaching session at the Cathedral. The Cathedral is gearing up for Easter so there are new decorations around the building showing the story of Easter. Lots of bright, large flower arrangements showing spring at her finest.

I will show up for my extra ordinary goal by:
Keeping on top of any messages that come in today. I’d like to try to maintain a minimal email box if I can, for as long as I can.

Today I am:
Bossing it.

Today I am grateful for:
C just going along with things. I’m more involved at national level and the PR role I currently have, and the Deputy President role I wiil hopefully have later this year, means I’m either always at meetings, events, writing stuff, on the end of phonecalls etc. He just goes along with it. Often helping out too, particularly with printed things and lifting and shifting. I know he’s not comfortable with doing anything with the media but he goes along with it, so long as he doesn’t have to speak to them.
