Prepared

I’m currently feeling:
Dynamic.

My thoughts creating this feeling:
Really chilled out day yesterday. Went in to town and opted for a wrap for lunch rather than usual samosa and custard doughnut. Went to the library and signed up for Libby, their online reading service. Got home and logged straight in and borrowed my first book. Nearly finished the paperback book I’m reading, will probably finish it today and start my first digital library book.

No scheduled JWW for yesterday but I did sign up for the 4 weeks abs challenge. 3 additional 10 minute workouts just for abs and core strength. Perfect for what I need for getting rid of my belly. Did the first day’s exercises, only 10 short bursts but, my word, I felt every one of them. If that’s what day 1 is like I dread to think what the rest has in store, but I’ll give it my best shot.

Chatted with R via WhatsApp to see if she has any time oft over Easter. Only Easter Sunday, but she says she’ll come up on Saturday evening and go have again Sunday night, assuring the trains are Ok. Will be lovely to see her even if only briefly.

My desired feeling:
Prepared.

My thoughts creating this feeling:
There’s quite a pile of ironing to do. I decided not to start it yesterday in favour of reading and exercise. I need to get my breakfasts and lunches prepped for the week ahead. Straight forward, no cooking involved. I have an Association workgroup meeting this evening, so we’ll see how many people turn up and if anything can be achieved.

I‘ll show up on purpose in my dress, body language and presentation by:
Black jeans and bright pink top. A bit “in your face”. Gibraltar bracelet, birthstones necklace and diamond stud earrings. Standard outfit style for ringing. Wearing another new set of undies giving that “I feel sexy” vibe underneath, even if noone else knows.

I will show up for myself by:
Prepping like a boss. Clearing the ironing pile. JWW and abs challenge. Penultimate workgroup meeting. May even get around to painting my nails.

I will upgrade my surroundings by:
Outfit planning for the week ahead. Dresses, skirts, blouses, sexy, elegant and feminine. Raising the bar.

I will show up for my extra ordinary goal by:
Chairing my penultimate workgroup meeting for the Association. In fact it may be my last. The person I’m nominating takes over at the beginning of May so will possibly lead the next one.

Today I am:
In charge.

Today I am grateful for:
Library services. Buying books is an expensive game so to be able to borrow them, either hardcopy or digitally is brilliant. It doesn’t cost a thing, unless you’re late returning it, and you won’t end up cluttering up the house with books unnecessarily. I used to take R there all the time when she was little and join in the summer holiday reading challenges. Thankfully that paid off and she is an avid reader now, did English Literature at A Level, and has reignited my interest in reading.
