I’m currently feeling:
Grateful.
My thoughts creating this feeling:
Had a CCCBR PR workgroup meeting last night and 5 people turned up which was more than I anticipated. We talked about the successes of the Ring for the King campaign and how even now, after the event, the ripples of good PR workin some places is still attracting people wanting to learn. With Bell Sunday on the back of it, there’s been a double whammy opportunity. The group shared some fabulous stories I’m hoping they’ll develop into case studies for us to use as good examples. I need to chase up a few things that are still in development and progress a new item for this year.
My desired feeling:
Dedicated.
My thoughts creating this feeling:
I have lots of work to do today so I can free up time next week as I’m looking after my boss’s daughter for the week as part of her work experience. I’ve got an idea of what I canget her to do independently but need to be able to advise and assist. She’ll have to sit in on some meetings too but that’s so she can get a feel for what life at work is really like. I think we’ll get along just fine. But today I need to clear some other work to make that space.
I‘ll show up on purpose in my dress, body language and presentation by:
Navy trousers and navy top today. Gibraltar bracelet, birthstones necklace and gold half hoop earrings. Simple, classic.
I will show up for myself by:
Setting myself actions for the coming week. I have last night’s meeting to write up. Finalise PR analysis. Send a copy of the Ringing World to Buckingham Palace. Arrange a Comms Officer handover and chase my Deputy President nomination.
I will upgrade my surroundings by:
Trying to get out for a walk at lunchtime. Haven’t had a walk for a while and my step count is slipping!
I will show up for my extra ordinary goal by:
Moving on to the next task on the PR job list and organise a workshop session to hold on Event Bright.
Today I am:
Taking stock.
Today I am grateful for:
C, who despite feeling poorly after catching my cold, continues to make my morning coffee, do the food shopping, cleaning and laundry.
