Grateful

I’m currently feeling:
Grateful.

My thoughts creating this feeling:
Although it’s lovely to go on holiday, visit different places and see different things and people, I can’t wait to get home now. We’ve lived out of a suitcase for 10 days, eaten out for 10 days, more food than normal, drunk wine for 10 days, much more than normal. It will be good to be home, eat “normal” food, not drink, do proper JWW daily, pick clothes from a wardrobe and chill out in my own home. We have, of course, only got 2 nights at home before we’re off again for the CCCBR AGM weekend! Lots of work to catch upon in those 48 hours.

My extraordinary goal for the year is…
Being financially savvy. I used to know all about my finances, life insurance, pensions, etc but over the years not really needed to bother to be worried about them. My EG is to help towards early and comfortable retirement in 3-4 years. I need to get on top of my spending, investments and plans.

What result will I produce this month?
So far, so good with not spending money. Not that there’s been much opportunity anyway, but I can say the first week has gone well.

My tasks for the day is…
On the way home collect the AGM papers and programmes from the printers in Peterborough. Catch up on emails and urgent tasks needed before the AGM. Do a JWW. Write the shopping list.

What thoughts are holding me back?
Head now switched to AGM mode. Not allow things to race ahead, or overwhelm. Take one thing at a time.

What thought will I practice instead?
Take one thing at a time. Do through things methodically. Add tasks to To Do List as I think of them so nothing gets forgotten. Be glad to be home.

What can I remove, elevate, upgrade or add to my style to embody my future self?
Wearing a red “beach “dress. Off the shoulder, long, light and flowy. Garnet necklace and earrings and Gibraltar bracelet. Long journey today, so comfortable, light, but still elegant and sexy.

What can I remove, elevate, upgrade or add to align with my future self’s environment?
Travelling mostly. When we get home we’ll need to crank up some chores like the washing, and a shopping list. I will do a workout as haven’t done one since Saturday.

What am I excited to practice and improve?
Be focussed on achieving tasks and getting ready for the next few days away, as well. Returning to a more healthy diet and exercise regime and returning to some semblance of normal.

My progress and my blessings
It’s been a lovely break with a good mix of activities, but I’m glad to be going home and spending at least 2 nights in my own bed before the next outing.

What do I declare myself to be today?
Ready.

What questions can I ask of myself today?
How can I support C with his driving today? How can I start to prepare for the weekend without overwhelm?

What words of encouragement, insight, wisdom or humour does my future self have for me today?
C hasn’t wanted me to drive at all, so let him be, feed him sweets from time to time to keep him going. By Saturday aftermoon I will be Deputy President of the Central Council of Church Bellringers. I have no opposition. I am ready.
