Revitalised

I’m currently feeling
Revitalised.

My thoughts creating this feeling:
Last weekend I actually got round to watching a SOSI session on style, how to identity yours and what to do about cultivating it. For ages I’ve thought I need to do a full makeover of my wardrobe; I have so many clothes they don’t all fit and some are piled in the airing cupboard and others or the side of the arm chair. I only ever probably wear the top layer. I actually can’t remember what I have. Yesterday lunch time I went for a walk and listened to a S0SI podcast about finding moments of glimmer in the everyday. I felt really lifted by that. Probably helped because the sun was shining. Then I watched a SOSI about decluttering the wardrobe and made notes on tactics to use. I did a JWW and really threw myself into it. I did every exercise, every rep, every round. I felt amazing after that. I finished a book it has taken all month to get through. I accomplished lots yesterday and I feel rather epic and excited about the prospects for today.

My extraordinary goal for the year is…
To be financially savvy again. Planning for early retirement by getting back on track with understanding my savings, investments and pensions.

What result will I produce this month?
Pay day today. We will be going into town later to do some Christmas shopping. In the meantime I’ll transfer what was left in the account across to my savings.

My tasks for the day is…
A bit of admin. Christmas shopping. Extreme wardrobe declutter. JWW.

What thoughts are holding me back?
The wardrobe declutter is going to be huge and take some considerable time. I want to buy some nice wooden hangers but don’t know where to get them from.

What thought will I practice instead?
I’m excited about the wardrobe declutter. I know already I will get rid of loads of stuff I haven’t worn, or no longer fits, or no longer suits my style. I am going to be ruthless.

What can I remove, elevate, upgrade or add to my style to embody my future self?
Black jeans and what I call my cricket jumper. Its a white V neck with black trimming around the cuffs and v. It’s quite loose and open fronted so push up bra to elevate the girls is in order. Gibraltar bracelet but left the earnings and necklace off in case I need to try things on before deciding their fate during the declutter.

What can I remove, elevate, upgrade or add to align with my future self’s environment?
The wardrobe declutter is going to be epic. I will apply several rules to ensure I’m ruthless. Firstly, limit to 60 hangers. Then only keep one or two similar items. I don’t need 3 pairs of black jeans when I only ever wear the same pair! Turn the hangers around when putting stuff back. Then turn the hanger the other way around when I wear it. If I haven’t turned the hanger round next time I come to sort out,  I didn’t wear it and it can go. Keep a notepad handy to make a list of anything that I feel is missing or what I need more of.

What am I excited to practice and improve?
Ruthless decluttering.

My progress and my blessings
I am fortunate to have so many clothes and to be able to buy things when I want, often without looking too hard at the price tag. My sister is always grateful for first dibs on anything, then she can either sell it or take it to a charity shop.

What do I declare myself to be today?
Queen of decluttering.

What questions can I ask of myself today?
Did I wear this item? Would I buy it again now? Does my future self wear this item?

What words of encouragement, insight, wisdom or humour does my future self have for me today?
I’ve never felt this excited about sorting my wardrobe out before. I can truly say I’m looking forward to the results.
