I’m currently feeling
Unenthusiastic.
My thoughts creating this feeling:
Didn’t make much of a dent into my assignment yesterday, got sidetracked by operational issues and other stuff. Really wasn’t feeling it anyway. Not overly enthusiastic about having to drive to Basildon main site today either. Going for a chat with one of the teams that will only take 40 mins or so, and all they’ll do during that time is moan about stuff they’ve moraned about before and done nothing about it, or other people are doing something about but they’ll still not be happy about. There’s nowhere really I can sit for the rest of day unless I go to the education centre and sit in the little coffeeshop there. Long drive and parking hassle for little reward.
My extraordinary goal for the year is…
To be financially savvy again. Planning for early retirement by getting back on track with understanding my savings, investments and pensions.
What result will I produce this month?
Only presents for birthdays and Christmas from here to the end of the year.
My tasks for the day is…
Basildon meeting. Find somewhere to work then get down to this assignment. JWW and an Exec meeting this evening.
What thoughts are holding me back?
Frosty morning to get the car scraped and warmed up. Parking hassle on site. Moaning bunch of people. Nowhere to work from and drive home.
What thought will I practice instead?
The chat has to be done and I put it off last month because I just didn’t want to go. I will find somewhere to sit and it does mean I’ll be at home so no evening commute, I can workout straight away. Its wine Wednesday too!
What can I remove, elevate, upgrade or add to my style to embody my future self?
Navy trousers and light grey Wallis jumper. Gibraltar bracelet, One & Eight hoop necklace and earring set. Warm and comfy for driving and sitting in a cold area.
What can I remove, elevate, upgrade or add to align with my future self’s environment?
Working out this evening and feeling fitter is really keeping me going. I’m enjoying most of the workout sessions, and feel better afterwards, using that and a warm shower afterwards to warm my body. I can see and feel the difference this year of health has had on me.
What am I excited to practice and improve?
Exercise and self care. Its having an impact on all sorts of things including my interactions with others. I am listening more, taking more iterest in others and having better all round sense of wellbeing.
My progress and my blessings
Had a great coaching session yesterday where my coachee suddenly had a lightbulb moment, so much so, she emailed me to say thank you afterwards. I can include that in my portfolio.
