I’m currently feeling
Grateful.
My thoughts creating this feeling:
Bought flowers from my usual market stall and they threw in a couple of extra roses and an amaryllis for free. I suspect partly because it was the last one and he wanted to get rid of as much as possible by the end of the day, and partly because I’m regular, and always tag them when I post a photo of my flowers on my social media.
Then, C started looking into why my car alarm keeps going off randomly. It did it again after we’d got home from Nottingham the other day. Apparently the only reason the alarm will go off is if the window is open, someone breaking the locks or the bonnet latch isn’t secure. C gave it all a thorough go over and couldn’t find a problem but he’s ordered a new bonnet latch anyway. It cost £50 for the part and he’ll have to collect it from Romford and fit it himself. I’m so lucky to have someone who can turn his hand to fixing most things. Would cost an awful lot more if I took the car to a garage to be looked at.
My extraordinary goal for the year is…
To be financially savvy again. Planning for early retirement by getting back on track with understanding my savings, investments and pensions.
What result will I produce this month?
No spending on clothes or accessories. At all! None!
My tasks for the day is…
Ringing this morning. Ironing a huge pile and putting it all away. No food prep needed this week, so get to spend the rest of the day relaxing, reading etc.
What thoughts are holding me back?
I didn’t workout yesterday, probably won’t now for the next 3 days and rather sadly missing it. I don’t want to get too comfortable at not exercising and fall out of the habit. I don’t want all the good work to be undone.
What thought will I practice instead?
I know it’s only for a few days until R goes home on Boxing Day. I’ll be able to workout the next day and pick up where I left off. The basics are there, my mindset and determination is there, so it’ll be easier to get back to it.
What can I remove, elevate, upgrade or add to my style to embody my future self?
Black jeans, purple tshirt. Gibraltar bracelet, amethyst stud earrings and multistone hoop necklace. Basic for ringing and chores.
What can I remove, elevate, upgrade or add to align with my future self’s environment?
Breezy walk into town for ringing. I expect they’re be lots of people in town last minute Christmas Eve shopping. We’ll be collecting our food order from M&S after ringing.
What am I excited to practice and improve?
Peace, tranquility, calm.
