I’m currently feeling
Changeable.
My thoughts creating this feeling:
Pinch, punch, it’s the first of the month. During February, I always swap my engagement ring out for another. My real engagement ring has 25 tiny diamonds and over the years, some of them have had to be replaced. Several years ago we were told by the jeweller that he probably wouldn’t be able to do it again as the metal had weakened so much. C then bought me a new ring, ruby and diamond, as a “second” engagement ring. I don’t wear it very often because I’m not one for multiple blingy rings. But, every February since, I’ve swapped it for the original, tucking the original away securely until March.
I’m also going to change my workouts up a bit. I’m due to check in to the next level on Monday, but someone has reminded me there’s a february core and abs challenge. So I’m either going to do that instead of the next cycle, or do them as well as normal workouts. I really want to hit those abs and lose that blubber.
My extraordinary goal for the year is…
To be more financially savvy and understand my pensions, savings and investments more to enable me to take early retirement in 2026 and live a luxurious life.
What result will I produce this month?
I do have some birthday and anniversary gifts to buy this month so not going to worry too much about extra savings on top of what already gets put aside.
My tasks for the day is…
A couple of meetings and some week close paperwork to complete. One to one with my boss to review what I’m up to at the moment.
What thoughts are holding me back?
I’m not maxed out with work of the moment. Nothing I’m currently involved in needs too much attention, but sometimes, I quite like quiet days.
What thought will I practice instead?
I need to be fully occupied and doing things of value. I’m going to ask what else there is I could be doing.

Black trousers, light grey, three quarter length sleeved, knitted top from Wallis. V&A bracelet, V necklace and peridot and amethyst earrings. A little more stylish than yesterday.

Change of ring. Change of workouts. Change of attitude. Change of mindset.

New outlook on life. A change is as good as a rest.
