My current feeling:
Excited.
My current thoughts are:
It’s Christmas Eve 2024 and today we’re heading to R’s for a few days. We’ll be staying in a Premier Inn because she doesn’t have space in her flat, and we’re eating out tonight, for Christmas Day and Boxing Day lunches. We’re also going ringing at Kingston tonight for Midnight Mass, and will join them again in the morning for Christmas Day bright and early. We know people there so it should be fun. Not sure if R’s going to come or not; have let the invite open if she feels the urge. Packing glamorous outfits for the next couple of days, plus comfy stuff for the travelling days.
My physical state is:
Broken.
My physical state is a result of:
Definitely hammered the shoulders in yesterdays workout, to the point for this mornings, I could barely lift 3kg! I had to adapt several of the moves as I don’t have an appropriate chair, stool, box or step to do some of them with, but they were still hard enough, thankyou. It was a 30 min full body strength conditioning, 10 mins arms, 10 mins legs and 10 mins abs so I counted that as today’s abs challenge session.
I will make today extraordinary by:
1) Getting to R’s spending the evening with her.
2) Dinner at the Turkish restaurant.
3) Midnight Mass ringing with the locals.
My desired emotion for today is:
Happy.
I am a woman who:
Gets to spend the next few days with her favourite person.
Today I will let go of:
Anxiety.
Today I choose to add:
Fun.
My wins, accomplishments, gratitudes for today:
Getting into the outfits I wanted to for Christmas.
The thoughts that support my celebrations
Have got a silk skirt and sparkly top for Christmas day, and a bodycon dress for Boxing Day. Tried the skirt on this morning just to make sure, and it fits perfectly, with room to spare after a big dinner. I’ve worn the dress before, so know that fits and has spare room too.
I want to improve the following for tomorrow:
Watch R open presents, spend time chatting, playing, walking, eating and drinking. Enjoy the moments.
Words of advice, wisdom, encouragement, humour from my future self:
God alone knows what Mum has bought us this year.
