My current feeling:
Interested.
My current thoughts are:
A lovely funeral yesterday for a lady we’d only seen 3 days before she died. The church was packed, nearly 300 I estimated, plus another 50 or so in the meeting rooms next door watching on screens. The service went on for 2 hrs. Her husband gave two eulogies, one of her early life until marriage and kids, two of her three children then spoke, then he gave another talk about her later life and loves. The wake was massive, a Ringers Tea of epic proportions. It got me thinking about C, and myself, when its our turn to go. What form would it take? who would be there? Who would know enough about our lives to be able to say anyting? C’s would be far more popular than mine. Perhaps we ought to discuss it one day, and make notes about our lives, loves, and funeral preferences. This lady was 51 when she died and fit as anything. We have another funeral today of someone who was in his early 80’s, had a serious heart condition, and frankly on borrowed time. You never know when it’s your turn so without being morbid, be prepared or give your loved ones some idea.
My physical state is:
Alert.
My physical state is a result of:
Did a brilliant workout last night, 25 mins upper body and abs which I used my 3kg and 5kg dumbells for. Tried to use the 5kgs as much as possible. My arms were jelly afterwards. I’ve already done a 30 mins HIIT session first thing this morning, before the funeral, and heading off for a weekend away. Taking some gym kit with me and see what I’ll be able to do in our hotel room.
I will make today extraordinary by:
1) Early workout.
2) Simple travelling.
3) Choose food options well where I can.
My desired emotion for today is:
Relaxed.
I am a woman who:
Will go with the flow.
Today I will let go of:
Hustle.
Today I choose to add:
Calm.
My wins, accomplishments, gratitudes for today:
Workout before breakfast.
The thoughts that support my celebrations
Two years ago there’s no way I’d be doing a 30 minute workout at 7am. I wouldn’t have even tried the physical side of things let alone been able to control the dizziness. Through SOSI, and my WOTY two years ago – Health, I took exercise up, found a variety I really enjoy, including healthy meal plans, got my blood pressure sorted, and am now 2 stone lighter, fitter, stronger and not having dizzy spells.
I want to improve the following for tomorrow:
Try and make healthy food choices where possible. The next 3 days will be pub food, so very little by way of healthy options, but I need to pro-actively choose the better option, not give in to crap and chips at every meal.
Words of advice, wisdom, encouragement, humour from my future self:
Take the weekend as it unfolds.
