Resigned

My 30 Day Goal is:
Declutter my corner of the lounge and swap winter/summer wardrobes.

Current Thought:
Ready for a rest day and just as well. I did a heavy strength workout last night, used my 7.5kgs for most of it and dropped to 5kgs for the lunges with overhead press. During the last set of those something went twang in the top of my right thigh. I managed a couple more reps though. Then the same thing happened to my left thigh, only worse so I couldn’t carry on. They’re still sore this morning. Standing up and sitting down is ok, but walking is sore when each leg is at the back of the gait. I’m hoping a day of mostly rest except a walk into town, will help.

Todays Sweet Spot:
I think:
I have plenty of admin to get done today anyway, and a massage so today was already a designated rest day.

I feel:
Ready to take it easy but keep moving.

I do:
1) (body) Massage back and shoulders, then rest legs.
2) (mind) Clear some admin.
3) (soul) listen to my body, keep moving but take it easy.

Future Self Pep Talk:
Listening to your body, taking care of it in terms of letting it heal when necessary, meant you came back stronger.

Celebrations/Gratitudes:
Apart from the lunges with overhead press, I managed to lift 7.5kgs dumbbells throughout with no other serious DOMs or side effects.
