Pleasure seeking

My 30 Day Goal is:
Lose at least 8lbs.

Current Thought:
Bit of a slow day yesterday. A couple of brief meetings but not much other than that. The work I wanted to get done didn’t take too long. Despite threat of thunder storms, it stayed dry so I could go out for my lunchtime walk. It was refreshingly cool. C was going out in the evening, so I had to limit myself to just one workout before dinner was ready. Probably as well, I had quite bad DOMS in my inner thighs. Stuck to a bodyweight HIIT and even then was a little bit pathetic at some of the moves. I had a lovely evening to myself. No tv on, no noise or distractions. I read and napped on and off all evening. I did struggle with body heat equilibrium all night. Waking up as either too lot or too cold. Still had some DOMS when I woke up this morning, so changed my early morning planned strength workout to a cardio steps one. It was good fun, and less pressure on already sore muscles.

Current Emotion
Pleasure seeking.

Todays Standard:
I am a woman who:
will spend the day taking exquisite care of her body through movement, self care in terms of haircut and massage, environment in terms of fresh flowers, and meet up with friends for some ringing. I’ll have time to read and relax too.

Todays Sweet Spot:
I think:
There are days like this that make me truely appreciate what I have, through what I’ve created in my life, what career and lifestyle choices I’ve made over the years, and how I’ve curated my life into what I want. Still a way to go, and different circumstances to navigate in the future, but the bedrock is there.

I feel:
Pleasure at the day I have planned out and will create a sense of calm and relaxation in everything I do today.

I do:
1) (body) early workout. Haircut, massage.
2) (mind) do some admin, if the mood takes, or read. Or both!
3) (soul) add pleasure moments throughout my day.

Future Self Pep Talk:
Distracting your mind is a great way to handle anxiety. The fact you forgot about your worries for a short time helps you to see they’re not all that important in the end.

Celebrations/Gratitudes:
Sticking with workouts, even if I had to swap them over to something more manageable, and modify one or two moves. I kept my body moving.
