My 30 Day Goal is:
Lose at least 8lbs.
Current Thought:
Very quiet day yesterday, really. I popped into town to buy some fresh flowers and a birthday gift. Then spent most of the rest of the day in and out of reading and napping. My right eyelid was twitching all day and getting on my nerves, so wanted to rest it as much as possible. I did do some admin first thing and ticked off an annoying, long steading task. I didn’t feel up to doing too energetic a workout, as DOMS from the last couple of days were making movement quite difficult. I opted for my cycle’s 30min resistance band workout, which was just right to stretch my muscles out. Then just chilled out for the rest of the evening.
Current Emotion
Reconnecting.
Todays Standard:
I am a woman who:
relaxes during the day, doing what needs to be done. Ready to reengage a friendship from many years ago, and enjoy their birthday party.
Todays Sweet Spot:
I think:
I’m hoping to reconnect with someone who used to be my best friend. We are each others children’s godparents, but lost touch and haven’t really spoken for about 10 years, or more. I’d like to rekindle our friendship, and happy she sent the invitation, hoping she does too.
I feel:
Slightly nervous, given we haven’t spoken in so long, and we won’t really know too many other people, apart from her immediate family, but pleased C wanted to come, without any resistance, and looking forward to catching up.
I do:
1) (body) Maybe a walk into town, but otherwise a rest day.
2) (mind) read, relax, recoup.
3) (soul) look forward to a lovely evening out rekindling old friendships.
Future Self Pep Talk:
Life is waiting for you. You might be stuck here for a while, but the world isn’t going anywhere. Hang on in there if you can. Life is always worth it.
Celebrations/Gratitudes:
Glad I did the resistance band workout yesterday, it helped release sore muscles.
