My 30 Day Goal is:
Do at least 2 strength workouts each week.
Current Thought:
A couple of hours work before heading off. Our journey was uneventful, except passing through several torrential downpours. We stopped for a quick coffee before getting to Crowland to collect all the programmes and papers from the printers. We’d bought an M&S lunch, so stopped in a layby to eat. I’d chosen well. Then onward to Sheffield. We walked into the city centre to find somewhere to eat, and decided to go to a curry house we’d been to before. On the walk back we passed the cathedral and they were getting the bells up. We decided to join them for their practice, and were put to good use, both of us ringing every time. They invited us to join them for drinks afterwards and even gave us a lift to the pub. A very pleasant, impromptu evening, which did mean I’d met my cardio target for the day.
Current Emotion
Rested.
Todays Standard:
I am a woman who:
Can relax a bit today. A morning to ourselves before joining others for ringing, then the first official event of the weekend is a social, back at the cathedral. The beer and food are all sorted, all I need to do is take the lists, the programmes and the shirts. Fairly light touch for me today.
Todays Sweet Spot:
I think:
It should be a good, relaxed event. An opportunity to mix and chat with people I haven’t seen in a while. Time to put on the magnetic charm.
I feel:
Fairly confident about the weekend. Everything is in place. I need to try to enjoy it too.
I do:
1) (body) bit of a wonder around and joining others for ringing at 3 different places.
2) (mind) don’t let people, or things get to me. Relax into the events.
3) (soul) try to stay on plan with food during the day but don’t beat myself up over circumstances beyond my control.
Future Self Pep Talk:
Our love for ourselves significantly influences our love for others. So, we can’t be en thusiastic about others until we love ourselves.
Celebrations/Gratitudes:
A pleasant day yesterday. Enjoyed the impromptu ringing and drinks afterwards.
