Discerning

My 30 Day Goal is:
Lose whatever weight to get to 170 lbs.

Current Thought:
A quiet day at the office, a couple of short meetings, an impromtu testing call, and loose ends to tie up before the weekend. Home for a lower body resistance band workout. I don’t like the idea of strength workouts, but when I actually do them, I feel powerful. I was noticing my muscles under tension and how toned they were becoming. Definite sculpting in my anterior deltoids but even in my thighs. Maybe I’m better at it than I think I am, and need to work on my mind script around doing them. A quiet evening gaming, watching tv and napping.

Todays Standard:
I am a woman who:
is settling on her WOTY for 2026 as either Discerning, or Curated. Either way, I willl be deliberately planning my life as I head into early retirement, so I don’t become a couch potato. Will workout first thing, disciplining her body into strength and toning. Upper body massage to take care of those muscles and provide time to myself, to take care of me. Has a number of admin tasks to get out of the way this weekend. Will read, and learn. Will prepare some Christmas gifts.

Todays Sweet Spot:
I think:
I have physical and mental activities today that encompass selfcare and astuteness. A good mix of different activities.

I feel:
stronger, toned, muscular.

I do:
1) (body) upper body resistance band workout. Massage. Walk around town.
2) (mind) planning gift ideas. Various admin tasks. Read. Learn.
3) (soul) delight in the fact I get to do many different activities, in my own time.

Future Self Pep Talk:
Regardless of where you started, you have the power to change everything.

Celebrations/Gratitudes:
I saw definite muscle toning, particularly in my shoulders, an area I consider one of my weakest.
