Fun

My 30 Day Goal is:
Enjoy the Christmas period whilst still taking care of exercise and fueling my body well without missing out.

Current Thought:
Thoroughly enjoyed my time in the kitchen yesterday. Got the cake and cookies in the oven first, then created the popcorn snowballs, the Biscoff truffles, and the cranberry and gingerbread fudge. A quick walk into town to get some extra treat bags from Lakeland. Knew I should have bought 2 packs the first time. The base of Dad’s birthday cake is made, it just needs crumb coating, then covering and decorating. Had a quick Zoom meeting, then a festive workout. Packaged all the gifts up ready for handing out on Sunday. Read for a bit. Watched tv, and stayed awake longer than C!

Current Emotion
Fun.

Todays Standard:
I am a woman who:
is excited that R is coming home this afternoon, ready for the birthday gathering tomorrow. Apart from cake decorating, we need to tidy up R’s room and clear a lot of stuff from it. We’re popping round to see a friend this afternoon, so will take their traditional gift, a pannatone they share with family. I’ve also made them a batch of edible goodies too. Then we can chill out this evening with R. Ought to have done a workout this morning but didn’t really think about it, and probably won’t get the opportunity later.

Todays Sweet Spot:
I think:
I’m looking forward to a relatively chilled day cake decorating, seeing friends, having R home.

I feel:
like I want to be fun and frivilous.

I do:
1) (body) may walk into town later for lunch. Not sure about workout today.
2) (mind) read. Don’t need to be thinking hard about stuff.
3) (soul) enjoy some laughs with friends, and finding out what’s been going on in R’s world.

Future Self Pep Talk:
Cultivate the connections that you want to have, not the ones think you should have.

Celebrations/Gratitudes:
Got lots of baking and making done yesterday. Was lovely to be in the kitchen creating. Having the extra cupboard and worktop C put in was really helpful.
