My thoughts creating this feeling :
I have a lot of ringing to do today. Morning service at the cathedral, which should be fine. Then this afternoon a peal attempt, which is about 3hrs long, followed by a quarter peal attempt for about 50 mins. Usually. I wouldn’t be too bothered but because I have this cold I am concerned I’ll start having a coughing or sneezing fit in the middle of it all and put people off. I also haven’t learned one of the methods properly enough and have only a little bit of time to squeeze in some practice on the computer beforehand. I am also the last person to have to complete a document that has to be circulated to members in the next week or so. The other contributors only had one section to do, whereas I have two.

Thoughts to practice to create my desired feeling:
I need to allow myself time to practice todays methods. I have a window when we get back from ringing this morning, before lunch, which may mean the ironing gets postponed. One method just needs a quick refresh, whilst the other needs some serious practice to get the order of the work to sink in. I’m not going to get the paper written today so that will have to wait. I will email it to myself at work and if I get time to look at it during my lunch break I will, if not it will be Tuesday evening before I get a chance. I have food prep for the week ahead to do as well, which I won’t be able to do until quite late this evening. I could work late into the evening on it tonight but probably won’t even get started til after 8.30pm and that’s too late to start trying to concentrate on something that complex.

I need to keep warm, but practical for ringing, so I don’t overheat and start coughing or sneezing. Jeans, light weight jumper, with a thicker cardigan over the top which I can take off to ring. Gold stud earrings, and birthday stones necklace R bought me. No bracelet today as it’ll get in the way of all that ringing. Not particularly elegant or feminine but practical for today. I will practice the methods for today and do my best during the ringing. I will go with a positive mental attitude and see what happens.
I will show up for myself by:
Not overly pressurising myself. Some things can wait, others need to be fitted in and others made a priority. The biggest priority being my own health in terms of trying to shift this cold and not stressing myself out over trying to cram too much in.
I will show up for my extraordinary goal by:
Putting the effort in to learning the methods in order to enjoy the actual act of ringing rather than having to focus on the management and administration of ringing. Doing the bits of ringing I actually enjoy.
I will upgrade my surroundings by:
Preparing heathy, nutritious food that starts on the road to my word of next year. Looking at a mediterranean diet for inspiration.

C, who looks after all the household stuff, from cooking, laundry (except the ironing) and most other things. Our new phones arrived, he took care of moving everything across from the old one. He also bought me a new cover for it in my favourite colour, that I can’t help smiling at each time I open it.
