I’m currently feeling:
Pleased.
My thoughts creating this feeling :
though we weren’t completely successful with yesterday’s ringing activities, we did manage to score two good quarter peals. The peal attempt fell apart after about 40 mins so we wouldn’t have had time to restart. We decided to ring a quarter peal instead. I was a little disappointed not to have rung inside but glad I didn’t in the end otherwise I could have made it worse. I did ruing uiside to the next quarter peal which was the method I had to learn from scratch. It was a really enjoyable piece of ringing with only a few minor trips but some really good striking. I was really quite chuffed at having made myself do it. By the time we’d finished raising a good couple of inches of snow had fallen and was still falling quite heavily. This made driving home quite scary, but I stayed in first gear most of the way. I messaged everyone a bit later to check they’d all got home safely.
My desired feeling:
Comfort.
Thoughts to practice to create my desired feeling:
It snowed more after we got home. Our road can be quite icy once cars have been up and down a few times. Not something I am keen to drive on. I have decided to work from home today as I’m on a course most of the day. That way I can stay wrapped up and warm. I’m hoping it will be warm enough to melt the slow and clear the road either for going out ringing later, or by tomorrow morning when I do have to go to work. For now, I stay in doors in comfort.
I’ll show up on purpose in my dress, body language and presentation by:
Keeping warm and comfortable in jeans, and jumper, fluffy slippers and if I need to put extra layers on I can. I’d be on a course online all day so need to be comfortable not moving too often. Basic jewellry, bracelet, diamond hoop earrings, and star necklace. I’ll be attentive and engaged during the course and try not to allow myself get distracted.
I will show up for myself by:
Checking in with family members and friends to make sure they are all ok.
I will show up for my extraordinary goal by:
Making a start on this document I need to get done this week. As I’m working from home and its my earlier finish day I can move across to the main PC after I’ve packed the laptop away and make a start whilst C prepares dinner.
I will upgrade my surroundings by:
Last week I snapped my plastic spork I use for my work breakfasts and lunches. We’d Lad itscance R was at school, so it didn’t owe as anything. C got straight on to ordering me some replacements but in stainless steel. They’re not the prettiest things to look at but practical and useful. Even though I’m at home and could use proper cutlery, I’ll road test one of these new ones.
Today I am:
Feeling much better. Sneezing is now only rare. Coughing only when I talk too much or get overheated. I sound like I’m bunged up but actually I’m fine.
Today I am grateful for:
The ability to work from home as and when I need to. Both in terms of my role meaning I don’t have to be on site all the time but also having the necessary items (laptop and phone) to be able to log in anywhere.
