Refreshed

I’m currently feeling:
Excited.

My thoughts creating this feeling:
As much as I ever get excited by things. However, this weekend is a full on programme of bellringing to mark the coronation of King Charles III. Today we have our final practice for our learners before their actual performance on Saturday afternoon. I’m really excited for them, at the same time quite nervous of our own experienced ringing in the morning, where we’ll hopefully score our peal.

As for today, I have free time this morning and after our teaching session this afternoon. I’m quite minded to fit in a JWW before dinner. Haven’t done one all week and kind of missing it. Besides, it’s the beginning of a new cycle for me so I want to see what’s in store.

And I need to get some reading done. Again, haven’t read much this week so need to finish my Libby book before it’s due back.

My desired feeling:
Refreshed.

My thoughts creating this feeling:
Whether relaxing a bit this morning, fitting in a JWW before dinner and doing some reading, I hope it will keep me relaxed and refreshed ahead of a full weekend of ringing activities, both physically and mentally. Thinking about life after the coronation weekend I’ve started listening to SOSI podcasts again and caught up with the main ones. It’s interesting how what you seek finds you. This year is my year of health and this month’s podcast theme is about health and healthy attitudes towards diet and exercise. Fitting in nicely with my 3 months free JWW membership.

I‘ll show up on purpose in my dress, body language and presentation by:
Practical for ringing again today. Jeans and bright pink tshirt, cheery and summery. Gibraltar bracelet, multistone hoop necklace and diamond thick hoop earrings. Understated elegance!

I will show up for myself by:
Allowing myself time to relax, read, and being determined to fit in a JWW this afternoon. Staying hydrated and eating healthily.

I will upgrade my surroundings by:
Time for new fresh flowers. They generally last 10-14 days from the stall in the High Street. They also have a good variety to select from, whatever is in season at the time, and you can make up your own combinations. I usually post a photo on my social media and tag them to help local businesses.

I will show up for my extra ordinary goal by:
Final pre-coronation messages to clear out. Hopefully my in box will shrink dramatically after that.

Today I am:
Preparing.

Today I am grateful for:
My bellringing learners who are putting in the effort, coming to additional sessions every day this week to be in the best possible place to join in on coronation day. They’re a good bunch, make it easy and a pleasure to teach. Last night one of them gave us a few bottles of beer as a thank you to us for all the extra help we’ve been giving them. I don’t mind doing this until the cows come home if I can see they’re enjoying it, and making progress. I get a kick out of seeing their progress and the delight when something finally clicks.
